Happy Thanksgiving

I just want to wish my family and friends a very Happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful for all of you.

Botanical Gardens

I took Nicholas and my mom to Botanical gardens today because they were having a display of 5 trains in the conservatory and anyone who knows Nicholas knows that he loves trains. We had a great time. The weather was perfect today to walk around and enjoy all the pretty scenery and smell all of the scents of a garden.

Mischief

OK so while I was making tamales with the girsl tonight, Carlos was supposed to be watching Nick and keeping him entertained. Look what Nick did. Now, you tell me...was my hubby watching him. He would have never done this in my supervision. =)

My stickles are still ok...thank goodness!!! He did not get the paint on the carpet either so that is a good thing.

Making Tamales

I had some ladies over to make Tamales today and had a great time. The tamales turned out delicious. We made chicken, bean and cheese, bean and Chorizo and Pumpkin. The girls in my group are awesome....

Wizard Of Oz

Nicholas' new favorite movie is "The Wizard Of Oz". He wants to watch it everyday. Nicholas' favorite part is the apple tree. He also likes the munchins and the flying monkeys. Anyway, I thought this would be a cute picture....he is listening to Dorothy singing, "Somewhere Over The Rainbow".

Many Thanks Lay-out

One of the challenges on my Scrapbook message boards was to create a lay-out of something you are thankful for... so I created this layout using a picture of my parents that I just took last week. My parents are truly a blessing and I love them both dearly.

Cheesy Fun

Today I took Nicholas to Check E. Cheese to play at lunch. He had a great time playing with all the games. It amazes me how much he knows and how he tries to work at playing with all of the games... even the big kid games. He is a little PRO.

I was so disappointed because I left my camera at home. Yes, I know... I always have my camera. Well, Nick and I found a "Sketch Machine" so for a token you could take a picture and the watch Chuck E. Cheese sketch it out. We had fun with it so at least I have these to remember this day.

When we left Nicholas said, "Thank You Mama...I Had The Best Fun Ever". What a little sweetie pie!!!

Scrap Night

I had a scrap night with the girls last night and we all had a great time. They all came over about 6pm and stayed until about 12:30 am. It was great as I always like to spend time with good friends.

Tricycle Fun

Carlos took Nicholas to ride his tricycle down the side walk while I cooked dinner this evening (Green Chicken Enchiladas). They had a fun time....I had to use my night shot on my camera which still doesn't take very good pics from afar.

Nichlas also got a haircut today and think the lady cut it too short after I old her not to. Oh well, it will grow back but she will never cut Nick's hair again.

Park Play

Today we went with our friends to our neighborhood park... the mommies relaxed on the soft carpet grass while the boys played. We all had a great time. Next time we are going to have a picnic. Here a pic of Nicholas and his friends Hestn and Stephen on a fallen tree. They all thought that they ere going to fall off so it was hard to get a good picture...see the look on Nicholas face.

Enjoy The Little Things In Life...

My friends Heather and Chrissy came over today and we got to scrap a little while our boys played. It was nice to be able to do that and I think we are going to make it a weekly thing. We also ordered pizza for lunch...it was delish!

You should have seen Nick's room...LORDY!!! But, all the boys were good and cleaned it all up.

Here is another Lay-out I did today with still the "Prudence" Crate Paper Line. I think it turned out cute but its a little light...but thats the paper. I cut "family" out with my cricut using Chrissy's "Home Accent" cartridge. I love, love, love this cartridge and think I will be added it to my Christmas list.

Cherish These Moments Lay-out

I created this lay-out using Prudence by Crate Paper products...I love all of the dark fall colors and I thought that this picture I took of Nicholas and a few of his friends was perfect for it. I really love the way it turned out.

Sktetch Challenge

This is a Layout I did for a Sketch Challenge for one of my message boards....My Creative Scrapbook. There are slight differences in mine and the sketch as the sketch is not made to copy exactly...only gives you the fill of the layout. I think I did really well. Do you like it? I just love the picture that I took of Nicholas at Woodcrest Park.

Happy Birthday Mom!!

Today is my mom's birthday and we went to have dinner at Salsalito's. Happy Birthday Mom and many more to come!!!

Scrappin' Field Trip

I went on a Scrappn' Field trip with my scrap buddies this evening and had a great time. We drove up to Cedar Park which is just west of Austin and about an hour and 15 minutes away from San Antonio. We went to shop at Archiver's and I was in heaven. I love that store. I found some goodies for my Secret Sister and also for myself. I wish I owned that store. After Archiver's we all went to have dinner at Cheddar's....I had ribs and Shrimp. It was delish!! We all made it home safe and sound. I can't wait to use my goodies at Scrap Night next week.

My Little All-Star

Carlos made this video a while back but I thought I would share it on my blog. Nicholas is so coordinated and I know that someday if he chooses will be a Super Star in whatever sport he chooses. Check out his baseball skills.

Operation

Nicholas finally woke up at the restaurant and was feeling a little bad so he had some 7UP for his tummy. Carlos had told him that we would go to ToyRUS to get a game and you know what...on the way home Nicholas remembered. When we drove up in the ToyRUs parking lot he said, "Mama, I am so happy". I love ToysR Us. We looked around for a while and finally came up with the game "Operation"...its for 6 and up but oh well. It was 50% off. Nicholas liked playing it...he could pull pull the organs out but he still touched the sides. I have FAITH in him that within no time he will be able to do it as he is so coordinated.

Tito's Mexican Food

We ate at Tito's Mexican Food tonight and it was wonderful!! Jennifer (my step-daughter) is in town from Virginia to run in the Rock-N-Roll Marathon so we all met for dinner. Nicholas fell asleep because he was not feeling well tonight...poor baby! I had the waiter take a picture of us all and you can tell it was a nice picture but it was soooo blurry so it will not be posted. Anyway, here is my plate and a picture of Nicholas asleep...Jenny had a sweat shirt so we used that as Nick's pillow.

Well Visit

Nicholas had his well visit and he is a healthy 3 year old boy. He had to tell the doctor his colors, count, and he did excellent. The Dr. ask him if he was a boy or a girl and he said, I am a boy! He asked Nicholas how old he was an immediately he said 2 without thinking....then I said, but you has a birthday a few weeks ago. Then Nicholas said, I am 3.

Nicholas is right where he is supposed to be in his age, height and weight catagory...and being that he was only 3 lbs. 11 oz. when he was born he is doing extremely well.

Nicholas had to get two shots today. He got the flu shot and the Hepatitis A shot. He said, Mama, hold my hand. I held his hand and told him it would sting for a minute but go away. When the nurse gave him the shot Nick said, Mama, Mama, Mama...and a few tears came out but he was over it in no time. What a big boy!

We went to Chic-Fil-A for lunch for being such a good boy!

Nicholas wanted Pap and I to kiss his leg because he said that it hurt tonight...so here are a few pics. Enjoy!
