Hoppin' Good Time

Today we met my cousin Janie and her daughter Alyssa at the mall to have lunch in the food court and then we strolled on down to Inflatable Wonderland which is in the mall. The kids had a lot of fun and I think their favorite thing was playing Air Hockey... they were bother pretty good at it.

Janie and I decided that we needed do get back on track and meet once a week to play...so hopefully this time we will stick to it.

While we were waiting for Janie and Alyssa to get there Nick enjoyed riding a few rides and donating money to a good cause.

They loved playing Air Hockey

My Scrap-room In The Making

Well, I have been working on my scrap-room (organizing) since we moved in this house in Aug. 2008. This past weekend my girlfriends and I took a trip to IKEA and found some goodies or organization... my favorite is the 36 inch Bangel bar with curtain hooks to hold my embellishments... a scrapbook company sales a round turnable two tear gadget called, "Clip It Up" and it is almost $ 100. I only spent $ 7 for the same kind of concept.

My dad came over this evening to help me hang my Bangel rods.... THANKS DAD!!!

Anyway, I have not painted the room because I am lazy and truthfully hate painting.... I will see if I can get away with not painting and just hang colorful pics and scrapbook pages on the wall... we shall see.

I still have alot more organizing to do... I need to find shelving for my closet...

Well, this is what I have done so far and I am lovin' it...

My Scrap Area

Side Wall Storage... eventually I will have all of the different type organization cubes like the one on the table on the right hand side... those things are expensive... but every once in a while Michael's comes out with a 50% off coupon. I need about 12 more to do the job. YIKES!!!

My awesome find at Costco's before Christmas... I need to hang the cork board up soon. The top has displays of my most recent crafts.

Another of the table so you can see my PINK curtains...

My PINK fluffy rug...

Well, off to organize some more. I will post more pics when I am completely done.

Fun, Fun, Fun

I took Nicholas to meet up with some friends at Chacho's today. Nicholas had a blast with his friends as you can see from the pictures below. I enjoyed talking to the girls...I love my friends!!! I also got to meet Chrissy's mother who is here visiting. We all went to Joann's Fabric's after that... its a new one here in San Antonio... we think we like it better than HL... =) Anyway, can you imagine going to the store with 4 three year olds.... all I can say it was an adventure!!

Here are some pics of the boys playing.

Rolodex Swap TSR

I organized a Rolodex swap with the girls at "The Scrap-room"... we all made a rolodex card for everyone in the group that participated using the "7 Gypsies" rolodex cards... a few of the girls also bought the "7 Gypsies" spinner to put all the cards on.... I just wanted to give everyone a sneak peak of what my spinner is beginning to look like... need alot more to fill it up... so I better get busy.

Fun Ornaments

Well, my mom liked the ornaments I made for Christmas and had an idea. She thought it would be cool to make ornaments out of some of the Christmas cards she received.... so I put this cute ornaments together.... I added some stickles to some and on others added extra stickles. I think they turned out really cute. We also went to Lowes and bought some thin board and are going to cut our own ornaments out and create more....

More Logs

While I was up blogging Nick made another house and wanted me to take a picture... so here it is...

Sunday At Home

Well, it has been a very relaxing Sunday so far... Carlos, Nick and I have been lounging around all day long. I washed, folded and hung some clothes and we watched a really good LMN movie.

I managed to take all of my Christmas Decor down and it is packed away. All except for the tree and that is a chore in itself. Nick wants to keep it up cuz it's pretty.

We also played around with Lincoln Logs... I think we are going to get another set so that we can build alot more... they are fun to play with. Here are some pics of Nick and Carlos' creations...

Happy New year To My Family & Friends!!!

I hope that everyone has a very Prosperous New Year!!

We celebrated with family last night and had a great time just hanging out surfing the web, playing Dominos, Phase 10 and of course, eating all the yummy appetizers we had....

I just love my family and I am so blessed to have them in my life...

I plan on starting the New Year off right.... more exercise, more outings with Nick and friends (Geez, and that is alot as if we don't do anything already), more mini vacations, more scrap-booking and just being blessed that I have such wonder family and friends in my life.

I found this on another blog and loved it....

45 Life Lessons
by Regina Brett
The Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio

“To celebrate growing older, I one wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I’ve ever written. My odometer rolls over to 70 soon, so here goes.”

1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Don’t take yourself too seriously. No one else does.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don’t have to win an argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.
8. It’s okay to be angry with God. He can take it.
9. Safe for retirement with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past, so it won’t screw up your present.
12. It’s okay to let your children see you cry.
13. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye, but don’t worry, God doesn’t blink.
16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful, or joyful.
18. Whatever doesn’t kill you, really does make you stronger.
19. It’s never too late to have a happy childhood, but the second one is up to you and nobody else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take “no” for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don’t save it for a special occasion…today is special.
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: “In five years, will this matter?”
27. Always choose life.
28. Forgive everyone everything.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals everything. Give time time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Your job won’t take care of your when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn’t do.
35. Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
36. Growing old beats the alternative – dying young.
37. Your children only get one childhood. Make it memorable.
38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems into a pile, we grab ours back.
41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
42. The best is yet to come.
43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, and show up.
44. Yield.
45. Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.
