Couldn't Wait!!

Well, I came home from my scrap-booking class today to find my husband and Nicholas putting together a new CAT train set. My hubby decided to go out and by it today because his excuse is, "Everyday Is Christmas". What am I going to do with him? Anyway, Nicholas loves his new train set... take a look.

He thought it was cute to wreck it... he got that from watching train wrecks with Pawpaw...

Christmas Lights

We took Nicholas to look at all the Christmas Lights today and he really enjoyed every minute of it... here is a video of some of the houses we saw today... the pictures in the video do no justice as it is much prettier in person. There were a lot of people who did a great job in decorating and celebrating the holiday spirt.

Gingerbread Christmas Train

I found this Gingerbread Train at garden Ridge Pottery after Thanksgiving and thought that Nicholas would love to put it together... he has been patiently waiting to do this project... and tonight he did it... I helped him a tad bit with building it but for the most part he did the train all by himself... he had so much fun and was so excited to show Papa his beautiful work of art... he also said, "Mama, thank you for helping me." We had a great time... now to let it set... he said, "Mama, tomorrow can we eat it?".

Pawpaw's Surprise

Today my dad surprised Nicholas and brought over a small blow-up to decorate the front yard. It's Mickey Mouse riding in a train... way too cute! They put it up together in the front yard. Nicholas loves it!

New Puzzle

We went to Target this evening to window shop and ended up buying a puzzle for us to do... It's 20 puzzles in one back. Each puzzle contains 24 pieces and is back a front... We all had fun putting them together tonight... as Carlos and Nicholas put them together I took them apart and put them in a baggie and labeled them. They are really need puzzles... Nick is able to learn from them. There is space, music instruments, construction site, jungle animals, dinosaurs and ect...

3-D Fun!!

Nicholas got the movie Shrek 3-D from Jenny and we watched a little of it tonight. Here's pics with our glasses... to cute!!

New PJ's

My mom and I went to Costco today and they had these cool Carter's PJ's for Nicholas... I need to go back and buy a few more. He says he likes them and keep him warm.

Bass Pro Shop

We always have fun going to the Bass Pro Shop... here are a few pics after seeing Santa.

Santa Pics

We went to see Santa at the Bass Pro Shop today and Nicholas was so darn excited to see him. When it was his turned he tightened up and would not even smile... poor thing. At least we got a picture. We also went back through the line to see him again and took a picture with the three of us in hopes that Nicholas would smile. There was no such luck. He did smile when no one was paying attention and Santa was asking him about what he wanted for Christmas.... anyway, we still get to see Santa a few more times before Christmas so we shall see what happens.




Nick also got to color a Christmas picture and mail a letter to Santa. He should receive an e-mail from Santa soon.

Christmas Box

Today we received a big box from Jennifer & Phil in Virginia. We were all excited to see what was in it and just couldn't wait until Christmas so Carlos called Jenny to see if we could open it early. The note in the box said, "Family Movie & Game Night" and that all the presents that were wrapped were so Nicholas. Nicholas was so excited... we have 3 movies to watch along with candy, pizza and popcorn. There is also a game to play...Nicholas was really excited to also get $ 10.

Just wanted to say, "Thank You To Jenny & Phil". Great idea!! We can't wait to watch the movie and eat a homemade pizza, popcorn & candy.

CHRISTMAS TIME IS COMING SOON...

Today Nicholas and I got in the holiday spirit and continued to decorate. This morning we got up and strung the lights on the tree and then I realized that I put the main plug at the time and had no way to plug the lights in... I was so irritated because I thought I had to take them all off and I was about to throw the whole tree away. HA!! I called my mom and she calmed me down and said all I needed to do was to get a green extension cord and run it down the center of the tree and plug it in... she said she had one and would come over if I cooked what she was going to make for lunch. Long story short, she brought over the food and her and my dad fixed the lights while I made roast, mashed potatoes, green beans and carrots. Our lunch was delicious.

We decided I need more lights and so we took a trip to Walgreens and bought some... after we came back my mom put up my lights and all was well. Thanks Mom!!!

After they left Nicholas and I began to decorate the tree... its all done and looks pretty good. I still need to add a few extra touches and I have decided what I needed so tomorrow we will head to Wal-mart.

Here are some pictures of a few of the decorations we have so far... I am loving it. I tried to take some professional pictures of Nicholas and if I must say they are not to bad... now if I can just get my hands on a Cannon Rebel Camera... =)
