It's Beginning To Look Alot Like Christmas

The start of the Christmas Season... Today Nick and I went shopping for some Christmas decor, we climbed up in the attic to get our decorations out and then we got busy... we put alot of the little things out. We were planning on putting up our big tree but I could not find the stand from our move. We will have to go buy one tomorrow.

Check out what we have in our living room... it is supposed to go outside but it was a little windy today and I could not get it up by myself... Carlos is in Corpus Christi.

Holiday River Parade & Lighting

Today Carlos took us to the Holiday River Parade and Lighting. We had a buffet dinner at La Mansion Del Rio... which means, Mansion On The River. The dinner was delicious. We were seated out in the pool area... they had tables set all around the pool area and it was very nice.

After dinner we headed down to the river and sat literally 6 inches from the edge of the river... great seats! The weather was great... it was a little chilly but not freezing. Unfortunately, the timing of the River Parade was way off... we would see 3 floats and then have to wait a good while to see the next. I am not sure what was happening and this made the parade boring. Last year's parade was awesome... so I know it could have been alot better. Nicholas ended up falling asleep waiting for the float with Santa. Anyway, we made the best of it and had a good time. The three of us got yo spend quality time with eachother.

After the parade we walked over to the Alamo where they light the huge Christmas Tree... there was a crowd but we were able t take pictures...

All in all we had a great time.

Thanksgiving Day

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner here at our house. It was great to see most of my family here today. We ate, talked and hung out and watched the Dallas Cowboy game...

The dinner was delicious and so was the dessert and appetizers. I would have to say that last year we had a 6 ft. table full of desserts and this time we had 2 pies and a cake.

I made the ham and my mom made the turkey & dressing. She cut the turkey before she brought it over and I couldn't take a picture of it and I also forgot to take a picture of the ham and the spread we had. We had corn, green beans, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, tamales and gravy.

We were missing 12 people that usually come but this year most had to go to their in-laws and my uncles had to stay at the farm to combine the peanuts... they are ready!

Here are some of the pics I took today...
